Tiling of the plane using a single motif. This kangaroo motif is a translation in PSTricks from the one drawn by Emmanuel Chailloux and Guy Cousineau for the MLgraph system.

3 - Tilings: coloration of Truchet's tiling

Coloration of Truchet's tiling, on an idea of Philippe Esperet (it require the `arrayjob' package from Zhuhan Jiang (on CTAN) and the random.sty package from Hans van der Meer): graphics produced by the following source code with this test file.

It was the subject of a little contest in summer 1995. See also the MetaPost solution of Denis Roegel <Denis.Roegel@loria.fr> (on CTAN in the graphics/metapost/contrib/macros/truchet directory) and the PostScript solution of Rouben Ter Minassian. The description of these different solutions and a presentation of Truchet's tiling will appear in the number 31 (February 1999) of Les Cahiers GUTenberg.
