    BibTeX seems to suffer from a Y2K-like bug. Here is an example:

Thanks for the report. Unfortunately I can't find any public references
now, but looking at my old mail, this is a known issue which Oren was
close to fixing at one point a couple years ago :(. Maybe there will be
a fix in 2020, if we're lucky. I'm not sure if there is a good
workaround, either :(. --sorry, karl.
