Definitely. The problem is related to the indirection
of using a string variable as readfrom argument, btw. The
smallest test I could come up with is:

   string t;
   t = "datas/fichier.dat";
   show readfrom t;

I will add a tracker item, but I can't promise that I will
find the time to around to this soon.
