[metapost] Type 3 CM fonts

Hey there, the MetaPost manual in appendix B mentions compiling the CM
fonts, and says

"Some editing would be required in order to merge them into a downloadable
Type 3 PostScript font."

I decided to write a script which does that editing.  If anyone is
