indeed...
The 0 mean that fopen fails
 makempx debug: ./mptextmp.mp: 0000000000000000 = fopen(C:/Program
Files/MiKTeX/fonts/tfm/public/kpfonts/jkpssbn8r.tfm,"rb")
 but we don't have the errno ..
can you monitor the program in some way ?
