[tex-live] Re: Problem with \textsl and times, can this be confirmed?

Its all to do with the faked slanted font ptmro, though I am not
sure why it fails for you. when I do
 latex x
 dvips x -o
 ps2pdf x.ps
 gv x.pdf
I see what I expect
