tug.org won't let me (the primary ctan mirror) in, so the update mechanism is stalled. actually, it wouldn't let me in yesterday, but i was busy and failed to report the problem... so, 2 days without any tex live updates. sorry. i'll keep on prodding (i have a "private" login, but i've tried anon login too). r
