Yes, that's what I meant---it's easy to do it by hand.  But maybe that 
won't be necessary for TL'09 if it uses the current libtool.

I think Angelo Graziosi and Rodrigo Medina have much more experience 
than I do with these things.  Angelo is the one who explained to me how 
to do it, and he produced the binaries that I've been using.  And both 
of them were involved in figuring out what patches were necessary.  But 
if neither one of them can do it for some reason, I'd be willing to give 
it a try.
