Thanks for this. Personally, I like more what Zdeněk said. But this is
not about what I like or dislike. 

So from what you say it is clearly MetaPost.

So it will be interesting to see what others say about Metafont. I
mostly see either Metafont or METAFONT (but only with special logo
font). 

https://www.tug.org/metapost.html uses Metafont. It seems that this is
the correct way in a plain text file.
