[texhax] Nov 2003: TL/CTAN, James Hefferon, TUG'04 notice, TUG'03 bulletin

Dear TeX user,

1) the TeX Live and CTAN software distributions were received
   (with much rejoicing) at the TUG office this week.  They are
   being mailed to 2003 members now (see http://tug.org/join.html
   for info on joining TUG), and they are available at the TUG
   store (http://tug.org/store).  See http://tug.org/texlive/ for
   more information about this year's edition.


2) In my capacity as TUG president, I am very happy to appoint
   James Hefferon as the newest member of the TUG Board of
   Directors.  He is a long-time TUG member and the primary
   maintainer of the TUG/US CTAN site, http://tug.ctan.org.  His
   term expires in 2005.  Welcome, Jim!

   information about him, as well as the other board members.


3) TUG 2004: An International Conference on TeX, XML, and Digital
   Typography, will be held in Xanthi, Greece, Aug 30-Sep 4, 2004.

4) Thanks to the indefatigable efforts of Wendy McKay and others,
   the TUG 2003 Post Conference Bulletin (1st edition), is now
   available at http://www.tug.org/tug2003/bulletin.
   Updates will be posted on the TUG home page.

The bulletin includes the highlights of the very enjoyable and
successful conference celebrating the Silver Jubilee Anniversary
of TeX.  that took place at The Waikoloa Beach Marriott - An
Outrigger Resort, Big Island, Hawaii, from July 20-25, 2003.
