[texhax] Page numbers with \begin{titlepage}

Hello,

I doubt this is the right address for latex questions, but I've made my own 
title page with the titlepage command. However, it doesn't show the page 
number anymore on the titlepage. Page 2 is now numbered 1. I changed this 
with \setcounter{page}{2} but still this doesn't give me a page number on 
page 1. I can manually add a 1 below my text, however, because Latex sees 
this as text it's not placed in the footer where normally the page numbers 
go. Do you have any idea how to get this right? I believe the /titlepage 
option by default doesn't have a page number, so maybe it's not possible.
