This sounds quite impolite. If someone has a problem, this is the
appropriate place to ask.
There are some reasons not to use pdftex. The most famous one is that
it doesn't have a built-in PostScript interpreter.
If some packages are used which inserts PostScript \specials into
TeX's output, then you have to produce PostScript and send it to a
program which understands PostScript, like ghostscript or Distiller.
If bookmarks are missing, it is very likely that the hyperref package
used the wrong driver. You can specify the driver as an optional
argument to hyperref, like \usepackage[dvipdfm]{hyperref}.
See the hyperref documentation for more details.
However, if no PostScript code is involved, using pdflatex is indeed
the best solutuion.
