MathML is not compatible with many browsers.  Plus, it needs the  
including page to be written in .xhtml.  Which leads to problems with  
named entities (eg, nbsp) not being accepted in .xhtml by some  
browsers.  One can, of course, devise a multi-tiered webpage that  
offers each browser what it can swallow, but that is not very  
practical for submission to an already-existing blog.
