[texhax] LaTex access quesion

[Shkolyar, Svetlana (KSC)[UNIV OF FLA]]

Hi,

I am interested in getting LaTex for my intern project here at Kennedy
Space Center.  I attempted to get it from going to
http://www.tug.org/protext/ and clicking on           "download the
self-extracting protext.exe file
<http://mirror.ctan.org/systems/windows/protext/> ", but all that
happened was that a file called "VTS_01_1.VOB" was put on my desktop.  I
don't know what program to open it with and the ones I tried (IE and
Wordpad) don't work.  I also  tried the "glance through the install
document <ftp://tug.org/tex/protext/Install/> " link and the pdf file in
it was disabled.  
Have I downloaded the full version? How do I access it?
