[texhax] curriculum vitae: question about prefix in Curve package

Using MikTex on Windows XP.
I'm looking at a number of packages for writing CV in LaTeX. Most seem
a little outdated, but Curve seems most useful for my needs.
Curve defaults to placing a \textbullet prefix before each entry. I'd
like to omit that for some entries. The documentation makes reference
to a \prefix macro, by which the prefix symbol can be changed. But I
can't figure out how to use it. Does anyone have experience with this,
and can advise me how to omit the prefix symbol?
Alternatively, any better LaTeX tools for creating CVs?
Thanks.
