A probable bug was found with the PDF generated by ConTeXt in the Metafun Manual. Some tests were done to try to detect the error, with the help of folk on the TeX on MacOS X Mailing List. Here are the results:

  This started out with an observation of the printing bug and led to a question of another possible bug with bookmarks in ConTeXt/pdfTeX generated PDF files and Preview.app! (not investigated further)

Note: We suspect that the problem has to do with transparencies.
If this is the case, then the manual on Metapost Graphics should also fail to print (perfectly) when using Preview.app. Printing with Acrobat 5+ should work.
