[tex-live] Is tlmgr 2008 now completely unusable?

Seconded. OpenSUSE does that through a special "release" package which
gets updated from time to time. The one for 10.3 was updated lately
and made the package management represent me with a message that that
was the last update for 10.3 and would I please update my system.
Methinks tlmgr would benefit from such a mechanism.

Seconded. At least we should have some hints for users of not-current
